Edition #31 Notes

To celebrate five years of Dapper Notes, I revisited the most popular cover material of all time. My very first notebooks released in 2016 were made using a simple but beautiful cork cover. The new Hamsa edition also has a cork cover, but with a sparkly bronze foil imprint, a perfect homage to five years of creating stationery that leaves my heart sparkling.

The word hamsa means "five" in Arabic. In North African cultures it is also associated with good luck and protection. The hamsa (pictured) is a common motif in North African and Middle-Eastern art. I come from a Moroccan lineage, so the symbol is very meaningful to me, and I wanted to share the luck that I feel Dapper Notes has brought me with all of you.

I hope that Hamsa brings you as much joy and good luck as I have felt making Dapper Notes for you the past five years. Here's to many more.

This limited edition contains: Cork cover with a snake skin bronze foil imprint on the outside. Silver bookcloth inside. Gold and silver fern pattern screen-printed endsheet. A second informational endsheet with a brief history of Dapper Notes and room for personalization. 48 graph pages on 70lb smooth white. Silver/gray thread finish.

Edition fray: Most Dapper Notes covers are made using fabric, which naturally frays with use. Each material behaves differently, and this meter will help you guage how much fraying to expect from your notebook.
